She was drawn to Efrem for his confidence and soon followed him to the Resistance even though she lacked training as a fighter. Spunky and determined not to be a burden, Reona quickly learned to use a laser pistol and pilot a ship.

After she lost her arm to Naveed, Reona sought the help of her friend Kasey the Stickle, who soon fasioned a durable replacement arm. After Reona decided that she would pursue Naveed in search of Efrem, Reona secretly had Kasey upgrade her arm by installing a transforming plasma cannon. The cannon draws on Reona's energy and delivers a varied blast depending on how much energy Reona can muster.

During her time with Zap, Reona found herself developing affection for him. Determined not to let go of Efrem, Reona continually pushed him away. After Zap was taken by Gunner, Reona resolved that she wouldn't lose him the same way she lost Efrem.
